SCULPTING AND COLOR WITH GLASS
SCULPTING AND COLOR WITH GLASS
Carlisle School of Glass Art
412 S. Wade Blvd
We will cover the knowledge to fully understand your torch and proper gas combustion in a glassworking torch flame. All torches will be covered briefly, while we focus on the CC, the torch I use. A variety of borosilicate colors will be used to illustrate working properties in relation to the torch and different flame settings. Using that information we will learn how to sculpt colored borosilicate without encasement in both hollow and solid forms. Examples shown will include a goblin head and more... If you took the last Carlisle class with me, be ready for advancing into uncharted territory for yourself as a sculptor. We will retouch on the last class syllabus and move further into detailed techniques.
