In this one day workshop, students will learn the tips and techniques behind Hayley's silver glass murine and create a small murine pull of their own. Students will learn Hayley's approach to adding surface texture to silver glass using enamels and other embellishments and create one of Hayley's Flora series beads. Starting from a base using both striking and reducing silver glass, surface texture and stringer work will then be added. Students will complete the bead by applying the murine pulled earlier. Scheherazade Description:
In this one day workshop, students will learn how to create these mesmerizing Scheherazade beads, Hayley's popular new series, with only dots using silver glass, and gain an understanding of the masking technique and how it affects the positive and negative spaces of the pattern. Hayley will share her unique approach and design theory in achieving her innovative patterns. This class includes a very basic introduction to bringing out the colors and lusters in reducing silver glass. Level Advanced beginner.
