CELEBRATE NEW JERSEY'S NATIVE JAZZ GIANTS AND PIONEERS
Free Jazz Jam at the Riverfront Renaissance Center for the Arts, 22 N High St, Millville
As part of our proud state's 350th Anniversary celebration, we're honoring the achievements of a collection of jazz greats we're proud to call our own. Please join the "The Trio" of Tony Mascara Jr on vibes, Stephen Testa on bass and J. Jody Janetta on drums, as well as the duo of Lori Benton-Janetta on vocals and Ernie Trionfo on guitar, for a unique evening of jazz entertainment.
The evening of Thursday May 22nd will include music from ever-popular greats such as Count Basie, Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughn and Dizzy Gillespie to trailblazers of the genre Thelonious Monk, Keith Jarrett, Bill Evans and Beverly Kenney, and other lesser-known yet hugely talented New Jersey jazz artists. Enjoy this uniquely American Art form as we acknowledge and pay tribute to their contributions to our musical heritage.
